    Pool equipment set up help

Hi - hoping someone had an idea of how to deal with a sinking pad. Our filter is on a plastic pad that has been sinking each season, it must be putting strain on the piping. The pad currently sits on dirt covered with midsize stone. Ideally, I’d like to fit the filter and pump on a larger...

    Correct order?

Hi! Would someone please remind me the correct order in which to test/adjust levels? I know to make sure my pH is in the appropriate range before I start the SLAM process, but after slam is complete, what should I do next? TA? CH? CYA? Thank you!

    Normal chlorine loss?

Hi All, I opened the pool a few weeks ago, completed the SLAM and mustard algae SLAM last week. I did the mustard algae to be safe bc we had suspected MA at the end of last season. All levels have been normal but I feel like I’m losing excessive chlorine ~ 3ppm/day. Is this average? We’ve...

    Persistent algae

Thanks for your reply. I didn’t consider that it was mustard algae. This is the first year I’ve had algae and I’ve only had to SLAM at the beginning of previous seasons. I’m very diligent in thoroughly brushing and properly maintaining the water chemistry so I’m surprised it is mustard algae...

    Persistent algae

Hi, I’ve been using TFP techniques for a few years and our pool has truly been trouble free. This season, I’ve seen a few spots of yellowish green algae in the same location in the shallow end. Every few weeks the spots reappear. 3x now, I’ve SLAMed the pool, scrubbed the walls and it passes...

    Fixing Grout above tiles

Hi, We have what appears to be cosmetic cracking above our tiles. There is no movement of the tiles. Does anyone have a suggestion of what kind of product I can use to patch this myself? Thanks, Kim
