I have not added any bromine for at least the last two summers, maybe even three. This is an outdoor pool. Once I open the pool, I will take my water into the local pool store for testing.

I switched from bromine to chlorine a couple of years ago. I have never been able to keep the chlorine levels up and I have had problems with algae. After doing some reading, I guess it wasn't a smart thing to do. My brominater cracked and it was so expensive !! I am considering going back...
