I thought of adding another return as well when I setup the pool but I hadn’t planned for it then. May eventually do it. Let us know how it goes.

I tried using the step drill bit, wasn’t too clean of a cut but it worked. Knockout should work.

Ha! User error. The little blue cover on the pump was not properly set. I did a dry test now and no backflow into tank. So as long as the psi at the injection point is not greater than the pump rating, no check valve is needed!

Thats what I thought! I came home to and overflowing chlorine tank. I was also told a check valve was not necessary. 😔

Success! Just finished it up. Used a 2 3/8 step drill bit.

Its either that and have to make a new cutout on the pool wall to fit new skimmer or this. This is much easier.
