Ha! User error. The little blue cover on the pump was not properly set. I did a dry test now and no backflow into tank. So as long as the psi at the injection point is not greater than the pump rating, no check valve is needed!

Thats what I thought! I came home to and overflowing chlorine tank. I was also told a check valve was not necessary. 😔

Success! Just finished it up. Used a 2 3/8 step drill bit.

Its either that and have to make a new cutout on the pool wall to fit new skimmer or this. This is much easier.

Nice. I see there are 25 or 80 psi econt t pumps. What is the main difference if any in pool application? Should I consider either 25 or 89psi?

Good point, when do you think is best to dispense the chlorine? Morning, night, daytime? All at one runtime or “half and half”?

So then wha Whats your take on when the chlroine should be applied this way? Also, are you 8 hrs of filter run time is not enough not sure what you meant. I’m thinking AT LEAST 8 hrs based on what other people are running it but if neede 10 or 12hrs.
