Good point. One thing is that the motor shaft is loose both fwd and backwards so there's nothing physical impeding rotation.

Yeah. 120v to each leg and 240 across both. The timer is putting out power.

I believe I did and then took the reading afterwards. I got a 15 from a 30micro capacitor.

The pump is from 2013. 9 years old.

The old capacitor gave me a reading of 15 microfarads. I replaced it and installed a new one (30 microfarads ) and the pump would not start.

And no sound at all. As if it was not connected to power.

Hi JamesW, I disconnected all the cables and the reading in 0.L which is an open circuit, infiniti I believe.
