    High TA and CH levels.

I used 10ml because it is always really high. When I moved in 5 years ago, CYA was through the roof, around 180 and I backwashed regularly and switched to liquid chlorine to get that down. CH stayed the same TA fluctuates sometimes around 60-80 but usually around 100. City fill water is...

    High TA and CH levels.

Fill water is straight from city, does not go through our water softener. No easy way to change that. Maybe I could occasionally hook up a few hoses from the softener to the pool, probably about 150-200ft. CH of fill water varies but is around 600 right now. TDS is high right now at 1400. I...

    High TA and CH levels.

I have an older 17,000 gal inground plaster pool in Arizona, lots of sun. I almost always use liquid chlorine. Using a Taylor Kit FC 2.6 CC 0.2 PH 7.4 TA 125 CH 700 CYA <30 Ph was 8.0 a few hours ago. Used Clorox ph Down. I think these levels are ok now, I will add a gallon of chlorine...

    College course business plan

I hope this is the right forum for this. I'm attending a college course for a Business Management degree and one class I have we have to create a business plan for a product idea. The idea we came up with is an automatic pool cleaner for tiles. A realistic idea or not, I figure this is part of...

High filter pressure within an hour.

Following up on this. Excellent call! I re-opened the filter and sure enough it was bright green with algae and these small black things. I hosed it off and put it back together then dumped the right amount of algaecide in the pool and that cleared it up as the pressure now stays near the...

Yea, that looks tighter on the basket than the hair nets I have. You spurred me to check into it again. Thanks.

High filter pressure within an hour.

Thanks for the tip. I tried hair nets and have trouble keeping them in place. I need to be smarter about how to attach them, maybe use a large rubber band. Any suggestions?

Yea, but I'm downstream from you. It might not be the hard water then but whatever comes out of your treatment facility and probably 50 others. ;) City water here has an oily sheen appearance when it dries on windows, I don't drink it. Unfortunately I have to fill the pool with it. If I...

High filter pressure within an hour.

Well things certainly have warmed up a lot so that makes sense . I'll give that a try and see what results we get. I have the Taylor kit but for some reason I question the readings. My hard water seems to mess with things but I will give it another try and post. Thanks!

High filter pressure within an hour.

Hello, been lurking for a while off and on and been successfully taking care of my first inground pool for two years now thanks to the advice on this forum. The last two weeks I hit a problem I'm having trouble solving. I changed my DE filters last year because they had holes in them. I cleaned...
