Need some help with algae in my pool

I didn’t SLAM because I saw that my chlorine levels were so high that I figured it would be enough to kill everything in there (obviously not). So the recommendation will be to go through the SLAM process and see if it goes away? With the amount of rain we’ve been getting lately, getting the...

Need some help with algae in my pool

So I've been battling this algae for a little while now and I need some help on what to do. I've tried fighting it with chlorine but as you can see with my levels and pictures, it's not doing much. I've determined that it's mustard algae from my research but I'd like to know what would be the...

Hi all! All is well with the pool! I've been wanting to do this post for quite some time (not sure if it should be a separate thread or not). I've had a lot of questions regarding doing the pool owner/builder, cost, how much I saved etc and thought it would be beneficial to everyone...

    New Construction - Central Florida

I watered mine the night it was shot. I did it twice a day for about the first 2 weeks or so. For what it's worth, the guys that did it said it wasn't very necessary due to how humid it is in South Florida. I did it anyway...better safe than sorry!

Hi all, My Taylor K-1766 test is saying that I have more salt than the Intellichlor is saying that I have. Which one should I go by?

It's by far the best 'upgrade' I've done. It makes everything so much easier.

I would highly recommend going with all the same company for the equipment so you'll have the best chance of everything working perfectly together. Not even sure why they would mix and match.

New owner/builder build in Miami, Florida

Fixed another small issue I had with my pool. I had originally bought one of those flat hoses to drain water out of the pool but that was a royal pain in the you know what, so I decided to just hard plumb the drain pipe out to my front yard where it'll end up in the storm drain.

New Pool Build - South Florida

Yeah, the lights have to be in to fully pass the rough electrical inspection. I opted to pay for a re-inspection fee to not put the lights on until the end. My reasoning for that was that I didn't want to lights in there while there were a lot of people around and have to worry about them...

New owner/builder build in Miami, Florida

Wanted to share my experience with my pool cleaners. I bought a suction side cleaner and absolutely hated it. I hated how much I had to intervene with it. Turn up the pump, close the main drain, close the spa drain, turn down the skimmer, count the rotation...blah blah blah! It was terrible. I...

Good thing they caught it now...would have been a huge issue if they didn't.
