    Loose Pebbles

Thanks for the response. The area where the pebbles accumulate seems to be a dead zone in the cleaning system. That's where I tend to see any debris before it's eventually flushed down the main drain. I don't add MA there. I haven't noticed any large spots of pebbles missing. There are a few...

    Loose Pebbles

I've been noticing a small pile of what I thought was dirt accumulating in the corner of the pool a few days after I brush. I took a closer look the last couple weeks, and there's definitely pebbles from the pebble tec in there. This has been occurring for a while...not sure how long exactly...

R0004 result not equal to R0014

Mixed up my reagent numbers...I'm using the correct test blocks.

R0004 result not equal to R0014

Good thought regarding worn out colors on the test blocks, but both of mine are only a year old. They're never left out in the sun. So I don't think that's it. Not sure why the pictures didn't come through, but I'll try again...

R0004 result not equal to R0014

I try to measure the sample size out to the line, but from what I've read throughout this forum the sample size is not critical for the pH test. Unless I'm way off in my measurements, the color should be the same. I have tried one or two less drops of reagent, but it doesn't make a difference...

R0004 result not equal to R0014

I have both Taylor ph test kits, the 44ml block used with R0004, and the small block used with R0014 reagent. I've noticed that I get different readings with each kit. The R0004 usually measures 0.2 higher than the R0014, sometimes more. In the pH test, 0.2 is a big difference. I realize...

How do I stop ETCHING, CH @425!

I had a new pool built last year with pebble sheen. A month or so after the build I started to see the white pits like you're describing. The plaster guy knew exactly what it was when he saw it. He explained it as clumping in the plaster mix. It creates hard spots in the plaster that eventually...

    Pool Math........The App

Since the latest update, the app crashes when I try to view an old log. Even if I just created the log, save it and try to reopen it, the app crashes. I'm running Android 8.

    Plaster Chip

In case anyone was curious... The plaster company checked out the divot in the pool floor today. That "rock" was actually a seed. He said they see this pretty often. The wind will blow a seed into the mixture and it gets applied without anyone noticing. They patched the divot, and it looks like new.

Drain Pool after two seasons due to high CH?

In Phoenix, we have the same problem of high CH fill water and little rain. So our CH level is steadily rising. My PB recommends partially draining the pool every off season by 1/3 to keep the CH level in check. I'm curious...what's everyone's thoughts about that method?

    Plaster Chip

And yes I still see the plaster in the chipped out area. There's a black rock in the middle. Doesn't look like the typical rocks in pebble tec.

    Plaster Chip

Yes, shotcrete. Finish is pebble tec sheen. I'll contact the pb in the morning.
