    Vinyl pool water level

I’ll keep an eye on the cover for a bit. I was mostly concerned with the pool itself. I wasn’t sure exactly how low a vinyl pool can go.

    Vinyl pool water level

Yeah mesh cover and the water level got too high. The cover doesn't really sag at all. Even if the water was up 6 more inches the cover prob wouldnt hit the water.

    Vinyl pool water level

I needed to drain the pool today, I put the pump on a timer but for some reason it didnt shut off. I wound up draining about 4-6" below the returns. Is this ok or do I need to add water back? Pool is vinyl liner.

    Inground Pool Insulation Options

I wouldnt put pink insulation outside or bury it for that matter. I believe there are spray foams that are used for pools that are waterproof. I also cant see it making a ton of difference as most of the heat will be lost through the water. Solar cover would be better.

Newb OB with BYOP in Buckeye AZ - Completion and wrap up

Do you plan on adding a retaining wall by the fence on the right side? Strange that the builder didn't do that to begin with. Looks like your neighbor on the left added a wall maybe when he put his pool in?

Run it at 100% for 24hrs. You should most definitely notice the pressure coming from the returns at 100%. Mine feel like nothing at 50

See my pic above the pool panel I posted. It screws into a fitting that connects to one of the plumbing pipes. Then to the panel. You can direct bury ground wire.

Do you have a pic? Is that the end of the bonding wire from the pool? If so that needs to tie into the plumbing and then there is a connector on the actual pool panel that it needs to tie into.

Depends on what the breaker is for the heat pump, if its larger than 20 amps then you would need larger gauge wire for that. Did you run the large wires through the conduit from the house to the pool panel? Do you have that wire? That wire will be expensive, especially if he said to get 1 gauge.

Here is a pic of my panel install. The thick wires are the wires that come in from the main panel. Then I have 20 and 15 amp breakers in there. So at minimum you will need ground wire, 12 gauge wire and 14 gauge wire. Id get white for neutral and some other color for hot. It shouldn’t matter...
