Has anyone rebuilt their Bestway/Inotek Pump/filter?

In case anyone finds this thread in search - The pump is super easy if it's leaking out of the basket/inlet housing like mine was. Just run to the hardware store for a #99 O Ring (1 3/4" OD, 1 1/2" ID, 1/8" H). Was 99 cents at my Ace hardware. Take the top housing off (4 screws), remove the base...

thanks to you both - I was starting to think that gasket maker from the auto parts store may be my best/only option.

Has anyone rebuilt their Bestway/Inotek Pump/filter?

I have this filter setup https://www.amazon.com/Bestway-Flowclear-1500gal-Sand-Filter/dp/B07M6ZDNNL/ and it's leaking like crazy out of the pump housing and water is always coming out of the drain port of the sand filter. Does anyone know where I can get new gaskets to rebuild them?

Constant battle - is this mustard algae?

Yes, water was clear, zero CC and no chlorine drop overnight....and, my current chlorine levels are WAY above even SLAM. I am sitting at 55 CYA and 31 FC (down from 35 yesterday).

Constant battle - is this mustard algae?

So we SLAMMed, brought it up to 35 for 24 hours for a mustard shock, and now that the chlorine is back down to 32 the algae (or whatever this garbage is) is starting to grow along the bottom again.

Constant battle - is this mustard algae?

ok thanks, I will give that a shot. We've already SLAMd 2-3 times, but didn't go to the super high chlorine level after passing the overnight test. Will try that this time.

Constant battle - is this mustard algae?

I've been in a constant struggle since my first algae bloom. Our numbers are great, but if I brush the pool regularly it's cloudy and if I don't the bottom starts to look like this in a few days.

Here's where we are at levels wise (6k gallon above ground with salt generator) FC - 5.5 CC - .5 TA - 80 CH - 325 CYA - 50 Ph - 7.9 I had been fighting high Ph and TA for a couple weeks and were starting to get that under control. I have been unable to tend to the pool this week, but the...
