Hayward Omnilogic sense and dispense issues

Set it to “super chlorinate” for 12hrs. That turns the Chlorine pumps on for longer and more requent. 800 is on the high side. I am able to maintain the right level of chlorine(as long as CYA is reading under 40ppm) at 680-700

I have one, unfortunately not much can be customized in regards to alerting. See below what can be configured during initial setup config or if you edit configuration after should take you to same place.

    Beatbot AquaSense Cordless Pool Robot

Got the Pro version and so far it has done a great job on my 15k kidney shaped pool. It does the stairs and I’ve even saw it on my sitting ledges in the deep end. I use a custom mode that does floor and sides twice and skimmer once. To be honest I don’t pay too much attention to it. I was never...

    Sense and Dispense

Below is a picture of where my check valves are installed. They are right after my old chlorinator, which I keep in place in case I want to add TriChlor tablets, and the underground piping back to pool. Acid check valve is closer to pool but doesn’t have to be. There are times when BOTH acid and...

    OmniLogic firmware upgrade to V5

Yesterday I received notification in the Hayward app that there was a firmware upgrade to v5. I don’t see any release notes on hayward’s site. Anyone know what’s new in this release?

    Hayward Sense & Dispense install

Quick Update. I received alerts from the OmniLogic App stating no water flow was detected. After inspecting the equipment the pump and flow was good. Looks like the Water Flow sensor required to run the sense and dispense was intermittently failing. So when the Sense and Dispense detects No Flow...

    Hayward Sense & Dispense install

Hi! I usually have to refill the Acid container with 3:1 Ratio of water to Acid Every 4-6 months or so.

@Davispeden below are my chlorine readings from last summer. I need to do the same for this summer which i'll try to do over the next few days. This is what you can expect assuming your CYA is 20-30ppm. My Chlorine usage peaked in July then started to decrease in August. Which makes sense since...

    Hayward Sense & Dispense install

For me its not a chlorine feeder vs SWG argument but more of is an ORP measurement consistent enough to determine how much chlorine to dispense OR generate using an SWG? For me, at least, ORP has been a very stable measurement and keeps my chlorine within 1ppm(sometime alittle more). For others...

    Hayward Sense & Dispense install

That’s great to hear! I know others have had challenges using similar systems with a SWG. What is your Cyanuric Acid level at? This seems to be the biggest issue issuing SWGs.

    Hayward Sense & Dispense install

Yes, the PH and ORP probes look different. Don’t forget to clean them every 30-60 days. That’s very important for maintaining consistency with readings and longevity.

    Hayward Sense & Dispense install

Hi there. I did look in to CO2 but because it was more inconvenient and cumbersome exchanging tanks and the amount of CO2 needed I decided not to. The biggest drawback to acid is the risk of injury which is minimized by using the sense and dispense system since it helps to reduce the amount of...
