Want to use standard cartridges in my Pentair Quad 100 DE Filter

Great news and info - thanks everyone. It looks like the Pentair OEM Part# 179136 cartridges for the CCP 520 (on Amazon) are identical to the Quad DE 100 catridges EXCEPT they are 7" OD and 32" tall. Was thinking of sticking with Pentair OEM and going that route.

Want to use standard cartridges in my Pentair Quad 100 DE Filter

That's a fantastic post - very comprehensive - thanks for sharing. Looks like you're in the same boat, in that the outer diameter (OD) is 7" on the CCP cartridges vs about 6.25" for the DE Cartridges. Also, the cartridge style are about 0.75" shorter than my existing as well (no problem there...

Want to use standard cartridges in my Pentair Quad 100 DE Filter

Hey All! Lots of great info on converting a Pentair Quad 100 DE Filter to use standard cartridges in another older thread (link below), but I'm wondering if anyone has actually successfully done the conversion? And, if so, what model and part number did they end up using? Original TFP Post on...

    New Poolmath Look?

New issue: Noticed saving often takes a while, then sometimes two entries will show up for the same item. Wifi is solid and internet connectivity solid ( could run steady pings in parallel when it's happening). Would love to see the UV info back without drilling in to each entry.

    New Poolmath Look?

Yes, I have has this and similar issues. They are aware of most these issues and are working on them. Sounds like it was a major rewrite of the app to get it on a modern framework. So far, I can live with most the issues -- but hopefully the wrinkles get ironed out over time : -)

    New Poolmath Look?

Thanks @Leebo One other thing -- just a thought, but seems like losing screen real estate by spelling our "FREE CHLORINE" "TOTAL ALKALINITY" etc. I mean, anyone who knows what they're doing and realy intending to use the app is going to know what FC, CC, TA, etc abbreviations mean. Might be...

    New Poolmath Look?

Appears to be missing: - Dark theme << How can I re-enable? - UV index (in the main screen and also in history) << This was very useful. How can I re-enable?

    New Poolmath Look?

Step #3 you suggested did the trick. Had to delete the app, reinstall then login and then it synced. First two steps is did a "Sync (1)" and that was it. When deleted and reinstalled it did "Sync (1), Sync (2), Sync (3)..." I'm still not a fan of the UI. I get keeping things fresh. Maybe...

    New Poolmath Look?

All my historical data is gone now. Super lame. New look is hard on the eyes and unncessary changes for sake of change. The old layout and colors were superior. I used to promote this app with pride on folks struggling with pool care. I really don't feel comfortable doing that anymore - it...

    Efflorescence Damaging Coping

@ajw22 - I think you're right on coping quality. Seems like pulling this stuff off is going to be a major pain. Am I overestimating the effort? Also seems like a mess (ton of debris/dust going into pool)?

    Efflorescence Damaging Coping

I went out there today, the finish on this pre-cast coping is flaking off all over the place -- it's a real mess. So, as much as everyone is saying not a structural issue, it's a nightmare to deal with this mess. Worse, the flakes have sharp edges that cut into your feet, then stick to the...

    Efflorescence Damaging Coping

Sadly - it was sealed with a penetrating sealer a couple years ago when installed. Like the idea on screening the grout.

    Efflorescence Damaging Coping

Thanks all. Any thoughts on best way to repair the pits? I tried grout, but it's not "fine" enough for how shallow those pits are. Bummer is that it continues to flake off as the efflorescence pushing up. Also, I think the source on the side of the spa that's bad may be the water running...

    Efflorescence Damaging Coping

There is a v-ditch a t the bottom of the slope behind our fence. IT's always dry though. So whatever is happening is under the surface. I really think this water issue has been here for 20 years -- the pool just exposed it since before it was grass and some block wall that didn't really...

    Efflorescence Damaging Coping

@duraleigh - I think you're right. There's nothing visible on the slope to indicate a water problem, but before the pool was built we did notice the yard on that side was sometimes wet even when we didn't water. Neighboring homes are also experiencing this wetness. Interestingly, during...
