    YASW Conversion Thread

I have a lot of "seeds" around from foliage. I figured the pre-filter would help with that. Less about sand/dirt. Does that not work that way?? VS Pump: The reason I haven't switched to a VS pump is because in the past, I've run the manual vacuum (zodiac) constantly and it has reduced the...

    YASW Conversion Thread

Regarding the brand, I went to the brand comparison link at discountsaltpool.com (that I found in another thread here) and Circupool has the best warranty listed and it doesn't penalize you for DIY installation which most other brands have (from what I can see). If anyone else can chime in on...

Thanks... The filter says it is rated for 18,000 gallons by itself and 30,000 gallons with the pre-filter that I want to get. Is that not oversized enough?

    YASW Conversion Thread

I forgot to mention, the MAIN reason that I am considering this is because I often forget to add the "daily" chlorine. If I could just get a daily chlorine dispenser, I would do that. But, since this seems to be the next best thing, I'm considering conversion.

    YASW Conversion Thread

I'm going to be closing my pool in the next week or so. I'm in Southern Ontario and thinking of converting to a SWG. It seems from the threads I've read that it becomes more cost effective over time. I do have a couple of questions though: 1. I like to keep my pool between 88 and 92 degrees...

    White Water Mold

Sorry, the CYA = 20 Rechecked the FC this morning around 6:15am and the FC = 11. Last night it was 15. So, I put more chlorine into the pool and will test again later. Water is clear. I don't see the white tissue paper looking stuff anymore.

    White Water Mold

I've run all the tests... FC = 15ppm CC = 0.5ppm TA = 90 (was 120 earlier but added muriatic acid) PH = 6.8 (was 8.1 earlier but added muriatic acid) * Added 1.5kg of BORAX to raise PH again and stabilize PH I see that with 0.5ppm there is some organics in the pool and will maintain the 11+...

    White Water Mold

Sorry, I didn't realize I had any replies, I was not being notified as I was supposed to be. @Newdude - No, I don't have any cottonwoods nearby. @PoolStored - I will do a full list of tests and update shortly. I will also follow your OCLT instructions. NO --- Liquid chlorine. However, I did...

    White Water Mold

Just curious if high chlorine levels are all that is needed to fix White Water Mold? I just replaced the liner in my pool 2 weeks ago and I filled the pool with water, shocked it and completed forgot to check everything else. Two weeks later there is what looks like white tissue paper all over...

Are there any cover rollers and sit inside the edge of the pool?

When I was a kid, my parents had an in-ground pool. We started off with a roller cover that had the round sides on it (the side was just like a spoked wheel). The roller cover would get blown in the pool all the time. Later my dad bought a roller that was bolted into the concrete and the...

But "that", I mean water testing.

    Here we go (green) again.

So what does that mean? My CYA isn't causing the problem? I'm waiting for more cya reagent. Had to order it from Amazon though. Pool store is my only source for that right now.

    Here we go (green) again.

I'm not sure. HTH normal shock, not super shock.
