your Intex sand filter is plenty capable to run 24/7.

I have it and am very pleased with it. It's not very loud and it does a more than adequate job of filtering and moving water.

I'm laying gorilla pad followed by happy bottom pad down this weekend for our 18' Intex. I'm confident that will be a proper base for the pool.

well, considering the pump isn't up and running yet, it's working out very well sitting in my TV room. lol

Hi all, for those that know....what size pea gravel is used for the bed of my sand filter? Any links? Especially if they're cheap. :)

lol, yes...this site helped a lot. We have two pools in our subdivision, but the new rule is 18 and under have to be accompanied by an adult. Our kids are 15,13,11, and 10. So, while we're working the kids can't use the pools...and we pay HOA fees! :roll: Anyway, this site steered me...

My son and I are in the process of setting up our 18' Easy Set. It is my first pool. He's the muscle, I'm the financier. :) We've got the ground level and will be doing the final prep this weekend before the pool goes up. Namely spraying the soil down with Round Up, spreading pest granules...

That's what I figured was the best option. :goodjob: I thought about this also, but I'm worried the weight of the filter with the 55 lbs. of Zeobrite and water will be too much load and crack the plastic. I'm going to look into this more...
