    Aiper Scuba S1 Review

Honestly I think that the ability to run in tandem with the Betta or its competitors is the biggest draw, at least for me.

    Aiper Scuba S1 Review

Took delivery of a Scuba S1 Pro over the weekend. This is my first robot pool cleaner. I've had a couple of suction cleaners and I really don't like them too much. I have a pool cage so my biggest battle is hair from my dogs who shed a pretty good amount. I have a Betta 2 that I've had since...

    betta SE vs betta 2

Would you care to share an image of this skimmer diverter? I've been thinking that I need something similar.

    TA and CSI adjustment

    Will do. Thanks for that

    TA and CSI adjustment

Right on. The part that I forgot to mention is that I already went through the process of lowering TA. I was getting measurement alternating between 80 and 90, which says to me that it was somewhere in between.

FC 4.5 pH 7.6 TA 60 CH 360 CYA 60 CSI -0.37 BOR 50 Temp 71 Just wanted to get some more eyes on my numbers and make sure I’m on the right track. Pool was built about 8 months ago and I’ve been taking care of it since. It’s my first pool so I’ve been learning as I go, but I found TFP very...

Added stabilizer in skimmer sock in front of return. Bad idea?

I’ve been using skimmer socks but I use two and I close them with a zip tie. It’s worked well for me. I also only put enough CYA in the sock to raise the level by 10ppm.

Betta 2 primarily for dog hair

That might be a good idea to just go ahead and run it like that every morning for a bit

Betta 2 primarily for dog hair

Nah the skimmer is doing fine. It’s a brand new pool. I’m running my pump at 1800rpm about 8hrs a day and when the pump stops each day the surface looks good. When I wake up in the morning with the rising sun reflecting on the pool there’s a lot of hair that was made it’s way there over the past...

Betta 2 primarily for dog hair

Yes I have used a sock since day one. The biggest thing is the hair never making it to the skimmer itself. Or maybe more realistically. All of the stuff that makes it in there after the pump stops running for the day

Betta 2 primarily for dog hair

I'm about to pull the trigger on a Betta 2 robot skimmer and I just wanted to give one last check here. My pool has a cage and no plants inside of the cage so I have no worry about leaves. I have two dogs that shed a good deal and it's more than my skimmer can handle, especially when I'm trying...

    Suction cleaner for low flow

Point taken. The reason I ask is because some of the suction cleaners make it known that they work just as efficiently at lower flow, whereas some seem to completely avoid the subject. For example, I purchased and returned a Dorado. In order to get it to function I had to pretty much close my...

    Suction cleaner for low flow

I’m looking to find out which suction cleaner can work on the lowest water flow. Mostly a knowledge gathering exercise but the practical application would be to have cleaning action while running the pump at a lower speed and still allowing the skimmer to function. In a perfect world the cleaner...

    Calcium hardness in new pool

Oh yeah definitely. I’ve also made a point to cycle the water system and let the hose run a bit before doing any top up so that I make sure I’m using the cleanest water possible.

    Calcium hardness in new pool

I don’t exactly have another water source other than rain.
