I have the 2hp hayward pump, with a sand filter, its a salt water pool so it has a salt cell to chlorinate it. No heaters or anything like that, just filtering the water.

So my pump went bad this weekend, needing to replace it. Model # SP2615X20… cant seem to find a direct replacement online, does anyone know of the updated version of this pump set up? Or could i go down to a 1.5 hp pump because i have found several of those. Pool size is a 20x40, roughly 35k...

Dont have pictures of the water level but it is a little over halfway up on the skimmer. I did check under the skimmer door this morning and found nothing. I have 2 skimmers, the water level is plenty high. I even added water just to make sure it wasn’t that causing an issue. With the pump on...

What testing kit do you all recommend for a salt water inground pool with sand filter. Just purchased a house with a salt water pool and im new to pools in general. And help or recommendations is appreciated.

Here is the leak. I put the valve into recirculating mode and it ran fine. Put it back to filter and this is what is happening.

I might have but it has a notch on the valve to line the 2 pieces back up. I placed it there and put it back together. Not sure what i did wrong. And yes it is a sand filter

The water was coming out of the top of the filter where you set the valve on it.
