    Plaster + cold temps

Chatted with our builder last night and suspect we are likely looking at late February as well since all of next week has temps well below freezing overnight. He shared a story of a client that didnt want to wait - and the plaster company that wanted to get it done - and they did - only to...

    Plaster + cold temps

We are right there with you and patiently waiting in Argyle TX (just North of Fort Worth) for warm weather so plaster can be done. Thankfully our builder is in regular communication with us - and we are fine to wait. Everything else is completed.

Need Warmth for Plaster/Pebble (DFW TX)

Looks great! Marc, We are in Harvest. Went with Barry from A+ Custom Pools after initially contacting 14 builders. He's been 100% on schedule, very thorough with follow-ups and was onsite almost every day of activity. His was the only quote that actually included full landscape repair...

Need Warmth for Plaster/Pebble (DFW TX)

Appreciate the updates - and Jim, sorry to hear of that experience. Thankfully, we've had such a great experience thus far that we are in no rush. I trust our builder will wait until we have consistently warmer temps and while the current 10 day forecast doesn't look good - we wouldn't be...

Need Warmth for Plaster/Pebble (DFW TX)

We've had a great experience with our builder and had we not taken a 3 week delay that was our decision while we debated adding an outdoor kitchen (we did it!) we most likely would be done with our build. But alas, we are complete (including sprinkler and sod replacement) - and now just waiting...

How many Microbrite for 10x10 Spa?

Builder had initially planned on a single light, but then said his designer has suggested we go with two lights in our spa due to our spa being 10x10 inside dimension. Anyone have an oversized spa such as this and have pics with 1 or 2 lights for comparison? We’ve got two in the...

Embarking on a new pool in Austin, TX

How many jets for your spa - and is it requiring an extra pump? We are thinking of a 10x10 and getting mixed answers from builders based on our request for 16 jets. Some are saying we need a second pump and others say one is fine.

Looking very nice - wondering what you coping selection is? We selected a "Bianco Grigio" Travertine that looks very similar and thus wondering if its the same.

New Build - North Texas - Thoughts?

Actually, our PB recommended the salt, but then cautioned us on the potential need and cost to reseal the pavers, or concrete decking. I haven't really found much about salt issues such as this though and wonder why so many builders would be against them seeing as its an extra hardware...
