Final backfill to bring pool to grade after settling?

I think the dirt has settled as much as it is going to. We have had several heavy rain events and no more settlement happens or any cracks. My plan is to bring in RCA and sand and do pavers. I’ll do a concrete collar for the coping. I’m gonna bring in paver people for an estimate on materials...

Final backfill to bring pool to grade after settling?

Interesting. I actually still have my light niche exposed. I made sure they didn’t backfill it in case the inspector wanted to see it. Good thing I did because it was leaking. I’ll re-inspect the conduit connection in the spring when I backfill it and do my pavers.

Final backfill to bring pool to grade after settling?

I’m all inspected. I left the trench open and even the light niche open from the back. He took less than 20 seconds to inspect and never looked at any of that. I would not risk doing the pavers though until it’s inspected.

Final backfill to bring pool to grade after settling?

the dirt around my pool has settled about 8 inches in the weeks after it was backfilled. There has been some heavy rain. I don't plan on doing patio work until next season, but i do need to get my fence up soon so I can get my CO - i clearly will need to bring in fill to bring this up to grade...

    Posting builder quotes?

Just paid in full for my 18x36 rectangular steel wall liner pool, vermiculite bottom with heat pump, VSP and SWCG. With electric and dry well I’m at about $46k. Still have to pay for decking/coping.

Pool in limbo-new liner, water delivered, then....nothing

Your two mysterious pipes are too hard to make out in the picture but it’s possible they are for a deck box to feed a light.

Show us pictures of you equipment and sub panel. You should have an auxiliary outlet. Are you getting power to it? Is any of you equipment getting power?

    And we are off...

It was fun. Not a big learning curve. I wish I had enough property to justify owning one.

New equipment pad - bonding question

not an expert but it is my understanding that the rebar of the equipment pad does not need to be bonded to the bonding grid (it certainly can) - what you need to bond is all equipment, all metal parts of the pool, anything metal within 5' of the pool and the ground surrounding the pool. The bare...

my site is a bit of a mess too - i have boxes - some cans and a bunch of wrappers. Not too big a deal (I also failed to provide them a garbage can)- all i care about is that i get a quality pool. I will handle the rest.

    And we are off...

I’ve got 30 years of video game skills under my belt. Ha. He had a grunt come to finish back filling by hand. We didn’t set expectations at the start as to how finished he would grade the surrounding yard so I went ahead and booked a mini excavator for $590 this Saturday for 24 hours. I’m gonna...

Turned the light on for the first time. I’m pleased with the job they did on the bottom. Pretty smooth.

Inground pump hardwired or on a plug?

Didn’t want to start a new thread - I have everything wired and bonded myself. Only thing I don’t have wired is the light. I have it bonded and the ground jumper installed and potted. All that needs is power to the deck box. It’s about 60 ft run and I’m gonna provide the trench, the deck box and...
