For those with an auto cover.

Our pool went in last May and we used the heater to get it up to temp, but rarely had to fire it throughout the summer. Used it from mid September until we closed the pool mid October. We opened this year almost a month ago and are still using the heater on days when we want to swim. The cover...

Post what your pool cost you to build...

$56k for everything in the sig plus 4 ft' concrete surround with cantilever coping. The autocover wasn't cheap ($10.5k itself), but watching the cottonwood trees in my neighborhood shed this week has made it worth it. Spending another $6k for more patio and a new fence soon as well.

    Hayward Automation and Laminars

Our pool build will be starting in a couple of months (after the electric company moves my power line, trees are removed, and current deck is disassembled), and I look forward to starting a construction thread to cover all of that. We have decided on a fiberglass pool with SWG, cartridge filter...

Uber Newb - First Pool - Toronto, ON

My wife and I are also wrapping our heads around this same question. We are in Northeast Wisconsin. Some say that concrete is great for cold climates, while others say that fiberglass or vinyl is the way to go. There seems to be one very reputable Gunite builder in our area and everyone else...
