Not much grumbling at all ;) Had to pull the gravel down then hand dig and level the gravel. It wasn’t too bad, with it being the shallow end.

Thank you both! I had the project manager come back out and take a few inches off the shallow end. Looks like it should be right around our target of 3'6" if they hit their numbers on shotcrete thickness.

Dig completed in just a day! Not sure on the pool depth. They said it would be 4'5 to the top of the form board but when I measured it was more like 4'3 or 4'2. Somewhat concerning cause the shallow end should be 3'6 to WL and we were hoping if they missed it would be deeper not shallower. Not...

That's a good point about the heater, not much to plumb and add the space for it now on the equipment pad for the future.
