New pool owner wanting to take care of pool myself. I have read through the Pool School matertials (thank you all) as well as several posts in the forum.
The pool was replastered in Oct (2024) by the privious owner, who told me he used liquid chlorene for the first few months before switching to 3" pucks. He said duriing the summers he used 1 lb of Leslie's Power Powder a week to "shock" the pool.
From what I have read so far I will be switchoing to liquid chlorine and use pucks only when on vacation.
Glad this community is out there for folks like me who don't want the headach and $$ drain that the pool store cycle seems to promote.
