    SWCG Help

A pool that's 10k gallons less costs a decent bit less too which along with other things we're considering for the backyard space might end up being the best choice for us. 25k gallons is still a pretty large pool. In no way is equipment brand or SWCG sizing driving anything. I'm simply...

    SWCG Help

Thanks all. About what I was expecting but wanted to sanity check. There's a version of the pool that would come in about 26k gallons or so. If we went with the builder that uses Hayward, would the 40k cell be ok there or working pretty hard? It's nearly double. I think I've seen other...

    SWCG Help

We're about to select a pool builder as have narrowed down to two options. One builder uses Pentair which I'm familiar with and the other uses Hayward which I'm not. So my question comes down to which SWCG to get. My pool will be ~35000 gallons. I know the usual recommendation here is to go...

    Pool Finish and Cleaning

This forum has been hugely helpful to me when we built our first pool a few years ago. Fast forward now, and we're building a new house with a new pool. We currently have Stonescapes Mini Pebble, and it's been great. No issues keeping clean with our robot and closely follow TFP method for...

New Build - Lake Conroe, TX - Structural Engineering

I personally would have engineers involved given your situation.

Should I not waste time getting bids from TX pool builders who are against SWCG?

My pool build is just finishing and no issues at all with my contractor. He did what I wanted. Start up guy actually said I was smart to go with the SWCG as it's easier to maintain. Feel free to shoot me a message if you want my PB's contact info. Note: Forgot to add I'm probably a 10 minute...

    Travertine vs concrete pavers

I've had a travertine porch for 4 years and still looks great and isn't hot even with the high south TX temps. We just added in the pool with matching travertine and it looks seamless so I'd say it holds up well and is worth it. Nicer overall look

New Build (Finally!)- Houston, TX - Starting this week! (hopefully)

Agree, would just go bigger as minimal cost. You won't regret it and can't do it later so it's truly now or never.

Rain interrupted gunite shoot - is this a concern?

New construction in Houston, Tx ** Trying to complete punch list**

I wouldn't pay another dime until all fixed. I'm at a similar stage as you, albeit with way less issues, but I'm holding funds until everything is done to my satisfaction. You didn't buy the equivalent of a luxury car to have missing door handles, chipped paint, and a malfunctioning radio...

New construction in Houston, Tx ** Trying to complete punch list**

They get it done quick. I think they were in/out in 3 hours yesterday so hopefully you experience the same. Your pool looks great though! Been fun to watch your construction thread as mine has played out on nearly the same timeline (gunite and weather delays included) so been right there...
