    Need help choosing a liner...

I went dark blue and am very pleased with it! Water always looks crystal clear, but that might just be b/c of the BBB method. I almost went tan as well, but I'm happy with my choice. If you do tan, please post pictures... I'll need another liner in 10 years or so!

Intellichlor SWG making how much chlorine?

Don't have the precise answer, but I will give you my experience. I have a ~18,500 Gallon pool. I ran my pump on low and kept my IC40 @ 20% (lowest possible). I had too much clorine produced. I noticed your pool is 13,300 gallons - so I'd anticipate you'll have the same issue. I'm going to...

IC40 keeps building up scales after about 2 months

Welcome! You have found a great place with knowledgeable people... I'm not one of them, but I've found the others are!! :) In general, I've followed the guidance here and have not been misguided. I would recommend the TF-100 kit (I was reluctant at first, but would not turn back). It enabled...

*6/11* COMPLETE BUILD Time Lapse* New Pool Build - Phoenix

Re: New Pool Build (soon) - Phoenix, AZ I remember how excited I was on my pool build! Congrats! After building my pool, there are a few things I would change in my design. -I had two umbrella holders added around the outside of the pool. I would add two more as they can be used for...

    Noodle Purpose

Hello - I'm confident that I am missing the boat on the closing pool school post. What is the purpose of the torn up noodle, and how is it placed within the skimmer? Thanks!

    Pentair IC-40 Too Big

Thanks guys... sounds like I'm going to use a timer for the pump/SWG... Appreciate the help!!

    Pentair IC-40 Too Big

To be honest, I just don't want to have to mess with it... I was hoping there was a way to program the ic-40 to only run 10% of the time, but I guess that's not an option :(

    Pentair IC-40 Too Big

I have run into the issue that my IC-40 SWG is too large for my pool. We had an extremely hot summer and I did not have to increase the SWG by 20% the entire time. I do keep my pump on 24/7 on low (it's a two speed) and would like to continue to do that in the future. I would like to figure...

What color should borate strips be straight out of the bottle

Re: What color should borate strips be straight out of the b Mine were white right out of the bottle... sounds like yours may have gotten wet at somepoint...

Still can't decide...SWG or just BBB

Since you are a self diagnosed poor maintenance person (no judgement - I get it :) ) I would do the SWG. This will ensure that chlorine goes into the pool each day, and will not need your daily intervention once you get the hang of how to set it. Just my opinion...

Happy w/chlorine, switch to SWG as pool is being replumbed?

Re: Happy w/chlorine, switch to SWG as pool is being replumb I'm about 1 month in on my SWG and love it... only problem I've had is that the SWG is putting out chlorine that keeps my pool at about 7ppm (vs. my target of 3-5ppm). It is cold here, however, and I'm sure that will be a problem of...

Inground Pool not deep enough and Light off center

Wow... Sorry for you! I think it might be easier to have them redo the bottom of the pool by breaking up the concrete and digging deeper, than doing the alternatives they have suggested... Whatever you do, don't settle. Make sure you get what you contracted for - or be happy with it.

    Adjusting Skimmer Suction

Thanks for the quick response!! They are plumbed together. I'll check out getting a skimmer float valve... Thanks for the suggestion! Dan

    Adjusting Skimmer Suction

Hi Guys - I have two hayward inground skimmers and (no surprise) the one furthest from the pump does not get as much suction. Is there any way to regulate this, so that the suction is even in both? Thanks!

    Noisy New Pump

I read something on another post indicating that potentially having not enough resistance may cause a loud pump - is this a possibility?
