Ok...I put 1 gallon of muriatic acid in last night. I came home today and tested it and it's still at 425...yes, I am on well water and it is the same. pH is the same today too... Crazy thing about all of this is that the water is very clear...not cloudy, no signs of scaling or anything...

The official number was 425 ppm...

that makes sense. How do i preform that test? one drop of the 0007?

If i run the test to completion all i am doing is wasting the reagant...right? what does that benefit me?

Soo....I got my special test kit today and tested the alkalinity. I performed the test as directed. I put 24 drops of the r-0009 solution in and it still didn't change to red.
