    Connecting 2-21/2 inch pool pump to 11/2inch plumbing

    I have a hayward tristar 950 with 2 - 2 1/2 inch inlet and outlet but the plumbing is for 1 1/2 inch. How do I reduce pump inlet and outlet. Would it be easier to size up plumbing to the 2 - 2 1/2inches?.
