    Reconfigure Jandy 3-port valve stops

Thanks for the tips proavia and dodger, it looks like i will take back the pentair valves and pickup a Jandy and go that way then. I will also give the intermatic a shot when the time comes and see if I can rig it up to work.

    Reconfigure Jandy 3-port valve stops

Thanks!! Any word on cheap actuators , I hear some folks saying the intermatic doesn’t fit on the jandy, then other saying it works. Is there some trick or mod needed?

    Reconfigure Jandy 3-port valve stops

Hi Folks, I'm doing a replumb on my waterfall to ditch the loud little fixed pump and instead divert from the main pump (Intelliflo VS) so I can run it "slow" and return as little or as much as I want through the waterfall versus main return. I wanted to use a 3-way Jandy valve for this but...

Pentair multi port valve difference 261055 vs. 261152

Thanks, that's what I needed to know!! - - - Updated - - - One followup, is it true that Pentair does not honor their warranty if you install yourself? I've read this about the pumps, I assume same applies regarding Quad DE. If true, I guess it saves them a lot of trouble verifying proper...

Pentair multi port valve difference 261055 vs. 261152

Hi Folks, Well, my Pentair FNS DE filter is crapping out, starting to crack/leak a bit on the bottom shell, so I'm taking as an excuse to upgrade to a 100sqft Quad DE. However when pricing that out , I'm disappointing to learn that Pentair says it requires a different multiport valve for the...

Coming unglued over these cheap thermometers!!

Does anyone have any specific suggestions for a relatively inexpensive pool thermometer (e.g. <=10-20 bucks) which does NOT come UNGLUED half way through the first season? Every one I buy does this eventually and then you can't get a reading because the thermometer is sliding around loose, so...

Should I use Scaletec or not?

ivodjambov, I know this is a 5 yr old post. Just wondering how it all turned out and if you were able to keep the scale away. If you did it by just being more careful monitoring your CSI , or if you added something to the routine (ScaleTec or otherwise). I am also in Houston, and have...

For my Stenner setup, any good wifi timer switches that allow wifi update only?

Thanks Bama, I will check that out. I am very curious now about what @jmastron posted here: Stenner pump remote control/home automation "I have a WiOn 50052 WiFi switch that I'm testing, which does appear to be a self-contained timer -- I experimented by unplugging the WiFi router, and the...

For my Stenner setup, any good wifi timer switches that allow wifi update only?

Hi Folks! I'm about to install a Stenner pump for daily bleach dosing. I bought a 110V fixed pump and I'm going to use a timer to manage the dose and keep the time synchronized to ensure it doses while the main pump is running. I've read some folks buying WiOn wifi controlled timers or the...

Gerjman, new Houston member, getting started!

Thanks Dave. Yes, it's been going down about ~4ppm a day, eating 3.5 quarts per day for the past couple days. CC consistently reads 0.2 or 0. I'm thinking my CYA may be too low. I was waiting, thinking it might be taking a while to read, but it's been over a week now. On the test...
