Gappy

My grand kids call me Gappy (long story) hence the username. I'm a retired rural mail carrier who recently purchased a house, next door to my daughter and her family, with an existing 27' round 17,000 gal ag pool. My entire family's combined knowledge of pool care is just enough to be dangerous. We went the pool store route and spent lot's of $$$ but (surprise!) it didn't work. So we now have a perfectly green pool. The pH is consistently off the charts despite repeated treatments, so I am now off to try muriatic acid. Taylor K-2006 test kit arrived yesterday so I am ready to
SLAM it if I can get the pH down. I'm so glad I found this forum, and have been studying it all week. Many thanks to those who worked to get this info to us newbies. Pool Math page is awesome. It's great to know I can come here to ask questions on my journey to a TFP.
