I have a 24ft dia AG pool. I am about to install the reel but I don't have that much space. Can I make the reel length less than the 24' dia? Also, to lessen the management of the reel can it be permanently on the outside edge of the pool? Thanks

I need to add ph- to my pool and from the chart it says to add 500g of powder. I do not have a weight scale, how can I measure this with a measuring cup ? Does any have a rule of thumb conversion? Thanks.
