Good point. We’re thinking of the going with the aqua blue mini pebble which should be on the lighter side. Our pool would be south facing too. Do you think we should go with a lighter finish than aqua blue?

Anyone recommends the steps as shown vs steps through the width of the entire pool? I realize that we might lose swim space in the latter option but is it safer?

@all - anything else I need to change in the equipment or the pool design?

My PB recommended not to add a heater if we don’t have a spa but I did tel him just leave some space on the equipment pad just for this if I change my mind after one or two pool seasons.
