    Electrical Upgrade

Also how big is that "existing conduit". You will need at least 1-1/4" for your 3x #3 + 1x #4 (or #8).

    Electrical Upgrade

I would stick with copper wire. While aluminum is might be a bit cheaper, it has to be done just right (and with the appropriate connectors) to be safe. I believe the ground run for for the 100A circuit can be #8, but certainly no harm in using #4. Double check that the sub-panel is rated for...

Turn the pump on/off from inside the house

I would agree that X10 is not a good idea. I've had plenty of experience with it, and while it can be made to be reasonably reliable it can often take a lot of work and troubleshooting to make it so. FWIW I have never seen issues with X10 "going off on it's own" the typcal problem is that the...

Turn the pump on/off from inside the house

There are some non-wifi options as well, remote relays that work by signals sent over the power line or by radio signals from a dedicated remote control.

Pool is up, old issue arises.. Thoughts?

Most likely the check valve on the SPA return (box on the left pipe in your last picture) is leaking. It's not a style I've seen before but it looks like it should be serviceable.

    Valves Not Marked

As Jim said it is difficult to tell from your pictures what's going on. I will make a start but you will probably need to do some experimenting. The pipe at the back of the pad that I've labeled "Goes to Waste?" look like it probably runs to waste water somewhere can you follow it? If that is...

    Where to install SWG

It does need to be installed in a location where it will always get flow if the pump is running, so that means you can't just cut out the existing chlorinator and put it there. The location of the check valve would be fine, and the fact that heater has union connections will make the task a lot...

    Aqua Logic Transformer

I would love to see the engineer's explanation for why there are two bridge rectifiers and they are only using 1/2 of each. I could hazard a guess that they ran into heat dissipation limits on the part, but if that is the case surely it would cheaper to use a single larger part and/or a better...

Home with 16k Generator getting Hot Tub - load shedding question

You might investigate how the how the the Hot Tub behaves on a power loss, if it does not automatically restart then your are probably fine, as long as you know better than to turn it back on when on Generator power.

    Minimum equipment pad width

Depending on the lot layout you might consider locating the equipment at the back of the lot rather than the side yard, and perhaps enclosing it in some way. In our city the side-yard setback is 10' for equipment, but only 5' from the rear property line.

Can you run a pump off a generator?

I have a 22kW unit de-rated to 19 kW because it's running off natual gas, and it has no problem running the entire household, including heat-pump heat/air conditioning and the pool pumps. It shares a 2" gas line with the pool heater and both happily run at the same time. I would have to try...

Fixing Poor Choices before my Ownership

Indeed if it were mine I'd be very tempted to take it all apart and start over, starting with pouring a new concrete pad for everything. I don't see any obvious reason that the equipment is crowded so tightly together, would there be any issue if the layout extended and additional 2-3' to the...

Ideas to insulate auto cover over spa

Yes we have an auto-cover and yes I would do it the same way again. The cover quickly and easily covers both bodies of water.
