Just give Intex a call and they'll ship out a replacement, the same thing happened with mine last summer.

Vacuum to waste or buy a better pump/filter combo. I had the same issue with the Intex cartridge and bought the 1650 combo they offer and the problem is gone.

If these are the hose adapters I've got a few laying around PM me your address and I'll send them to you for whatever $ it costs to mail them.

If you're lucky you'll get another sand filter also. My 1650 started making a racket last summer, called in for warranty and within a week and entire new pump/filter combo showed up. I called and they said it was normal and to use the new stuff and keep the old for parts.

Is the screen in the inlet side of the pump clogged?
