agreed entirely! sadly, i dont have the right set of clamps to take out the bypass and reinstall the salt water cell (i tried). i brushed the entire pool and ran the robot for about 4 hours. then put in 2 gallons of 7.5% bleach and CYA granules to get it up to around 70. will keep it running...

Just uncovered the pool. It's going to be 88F here today and pool is at 62F. Noticed a good growth of green algae starting. Pool guys are coming to get it started next week but I was curious if it made sense to throw a gallon or two of bleach in now while i brush the algae etc to prevent...

thanks for all the comments. i am using a FAS-DPD test. i typically try to keep the CYA around 80/90 during the summer. salt cell via the app is saying instant salt is around 2800 now at 38%. it typically stays around 3200 and 32%. and yes, i know the hayward app is not truly an accurate...

absolutely. i got the CYA in to raise it up to 70/80. going to let that do its magic over the next 24-48 then check chemistry again before adding anyting else. appreciate the help!
