Pool Build - Hot Tub/Spa help - Separate vs. Integrated

Yea, we use our integrated gunite spa all the time. We love it. But it only takes about 20 minutes to get to 102. Once it's in spa mode, the pump is no longer circulating water in the pool at all, only the hot tub. 2-3 hours seems crazy long and understand why you'd want to consider other...

So we just realized our pool is the wrong size..........

That's a really tough choice. I don't think I would be happy unless it was enlarged as it was supposed to be though.

    Sunshelf/Baha Shelf depth

We made ours 9” and really like it. I think 10”-12” would be good but 15” seems really deep for a sunshelf.

    This one is for me....

I really like the balcony option. Of course, it's not my money!

Pool Build Photos - Gunite, Pebble Fina, Clovis Calif.

We have that exact same tile! We didn't use the decorative ones though.

Damage to old plaster- is this bad?

Is that an old picture? It doesn’t appear that that pool’s been plastered yet. Gashes in the gunite can be filled with the plaster and it’ll be seamless (unless the damage is structural).

    New Construction: Cathedral City CA

Yea, +1 to what Will said. We have a Hayward VSP and it’s plenty powerful for the 8 jets, especially with the blower on.

    New Construction: Cathedral City CA

Yea, we have two foot jets. 6 back jets and 2 foot jets. The seat in the spa with the foot jets is probably my favorite! Thank you for the compliments on our colors, I stressed about those decisions until I finally got to see them all together at the end!

You might have to zoom in on this pic, but our spa has a “drink ledge”. It’s a perfect arm rest that sits right at the water line.

Richmond TX new build; 2 days in and Gunite is already done

I would clarify. We have freeze protection and our pumps run when it freezes, but that line sits stagnant unless the pool level gets below a certain point. At least in our pool, the pump doesn’t cycle water through that line at all.

That’s a good point. Our auto-fill line has that same brass connection and it froze a few weeks ago. The plumbing sub charged us $175 because it was freeze related and not covered under the warranty. :(

New Build - Questions after fill

Ours is setup the same way. In Pool mode the water is sucked from the pool but a little bit of that water is sent to the spa to keep the water in the Spa circulating. The spillover is on when in Pool mode, just to varying degrees depending on what our variable speed pump is set on. The spillover...

    I think I'd pick 1.
