    Simple solar pool heating

A while back I was reading threads on robot vacuums getting stuck on main drains, and for some reason one of the mods or admins mentioned they used a solar-powered submersible pump to circulate water through a black hose for heating. Can anyone recommend such a pump? Almost all the cheap solar...

Dolphin Premier gets stuck on drain covers

The main drain clip did not work for my Tiger Shark QC. It would go on top of the clips and spin. Other people have reported mixed success, and the company not issuing refunds. Other people have suggested the Unibridge covers

Cleaner to replace aging and ineffective Tigershark XL

The ledge cleaning is not that imperative. But having something that doesn't get stuck on the drain is! I don't think that the pool is setup for a pressure side cleaner or a suction side cleaner unless I used one of my skimmers for it. I will give Margaret a call. Thanks, Ed

Cleaner to replace aging and ineffective Tigershark XL

Hi, I've had my pool for about 10 years. When we inherited it, it came with a Tigershark XL. It's been OK, but just OK. It really likes the deep end of the pool, and often misses the shallow end. It also really likes to get stuck on the pool drains, despite trying products like this. (DO...

How important is it to get the pool clean/clear before closing?

It was a rough season maintenance wise. Both my pump and SWG failed. The good news is that I was able to fix both myself (replacing a capacitor and thermistor respectively), and they both happened at the tail end of the season, so little swimming time was actually lost. Anyway, since it was...

    Volleyball net "arm"

That's what I wanted to know when originally posting. I wasn't sure if one of these wedge locks should be able to hold that much force or not. Since the lever arm is fairly long, and the net is relatively heavy, the wedge has to hold back a lot of torque. Maybe I'll order a few wedge locks...

    Volleyball net "arm"

I ended up going to the hardware store and having them make me a 20 foot bungie cord that I attached to a ladder on the other side of the pool. It works pretty well! Thanks for the idea Richard320.

    Volleyball net "arm"

Hi folks, I've been a long time lurker. Thanks for all the content on the site, it's saved my butt a number of times! Anyway, I had a question that has been bothering me for a while... My pool has a volleyball net. There is an L-shaped "arm" for lack of a better word that sticks out from...

Replace light fixture or bulb and gasket?

After reopening our pool this year, our pool light was no longer working. It worked OK when the pool was closed, or at least shortly before that. I finally got around to taking the light out and looking at it... the pictures are attached. I confirmed with a multimeter that the bulb is dead...
