There is a second drain not shown in this picture, they have to be min. 3' apart. This looks like they have 2 pipes going to one drain.

Does anyone know what the second pipe at the main drain is for?

If a spa has a separate pump from the pool and is designed to spill water over into the pool would an additional return need to be added in the pool that goes back to the spa pump?
