PB disappeared ->Half an owner build

With our new build they did plaster/pebble at the very end after everything else was done including the decking. I believe that’s pretty typical based on other pictures I’ve seen of new builds. Good luck with everything!

New Build - Vinyl Pool - Final Planning Prep - Digging Stage

I thought it was 18" but to be honest now I'm not too sure. I'll have to measure it and find out.

New Build - Vinyl Pool - Final Planning Prep - Digging Stage

We have a smaller pool (12x24) because it was the largest we could do in our yard for many reasons. We did a full-length bench on one side (similar to option 2) and I'm glad we did. We don't have kids and when we have people over I find that often we all end up sitting on the bench. We also...

Jan 2025 IG pool build in Georgia, need liner re set!!!!

I can speak from experience. Prior to our dig they came out and marked everything with stakes and paint but it didn't look right to us. So we measured it when we got home and discovered it was 2 feet narrower and 2 feet shorter than our final design. It turns out they submitted the wrong...

Jan 2025 IG pool build in Georgia, need liner re set!!!!

This is our first year of pool ownership and we decided to try leaving it open to see how that goes. We put a leaf net over the pool in the late fall and I removed the net yesterday now that the majority of our leaves have fallen. We do have a huge tulip tree in the yard dropping thousands of...

    New build in Metro Atlanta

I was going to say exactly this. Get all of the model numbers so you know exactly what equipment you’re getting with no surprises. That was a lesson learned for me. The builders like to give generic equipment lists in the quotes so they can find the cheapest option that fits that description.

Yes, give them a call and tell them you may need to upgrade your meter. They will likely ask you how many gas appliances are in the home and whether you need either a 7” W.C. or 2 PSI meter. I opted for the 2PSI model so I filled out a form online and then they scheduled the replacement. The...

Jan 2025 IG pool build in Georgia, need liner re set!!!!

I went through the same thing with our build trying to figure out what size gas meter was needed. I got mixed messages from the builder and even the gas company. The gas company did confirm that even without our pool heater, we were already undersized due to our new tankless water heater...

New build in Atlanta, GA - Nov 24

I'm surprised they decided to do shotcrete with temps getting in the 20s overnight and for several days to come. Ours was done at the end of January this year and it wasn't nearly this cold but I had the builder cover the entire shell with plastic to trap the heat overnight which seemed to work...

New build in Atlanta, GA - Nov 24

Also, I have a very similar equipment list to what you're getting so I'll be curious to know how they configure the heater bypass. Our builder claims I was the first customer in his 20 years in the business who had asked for a heater bypass and they had some challenges getting it to work with...

New build in Atlanta, GA - Nov 24

That looks like a pretty solid list to me. I would also ask that they not use any of the cheap ball valves for any of the plumbing. I forgot to request that from our builder and we ended up with a mix of the nicer Jandy valves and the cheap ball valves. Go figure we had an issue with a Jandy...

New build in Atlanta, GA - Nov 24

Good luck with the new build! We are also in the Atlanta area and had concerns about needing helical piers but fortunately the builder said we were fine with the red clay they found after the dig. We had plenty of other challenges with permitting and easements which prevented us from doing a...
