    Late opening

Never have attempted to take out the light. Had the pool 15 years. Wouldn’t know how to begin!

    Late opening

Funny thing is I never even go in the pool! I just like to look at it and clean it! Been scrubbing not as intensely as you describe, but fairly regularly. It’s 10000% better then it was

    Late opening

I thank you😂. I know I need to take a POP pill! It’s just been sooooo long this year. Had my opening cartridges in until the other day and just switched out to my better ones. Been hosing them off every couple of days. Lesson learned DO NOT WAIT to open until the end of July 🤦‍♀️

    Late opening

Slam question- I have maintained slam levels of fc for the past 9 days. Pool is finally blue, but still cloudy. Haven’t passed overnight test or clear pool so I know I’m still in the midst of the SLAM- my question is.. is it better to add additional chlorine at night even if I’m above SLAM...

    Late opening

Hi! Tested CYA yesterday and it is at 0. Still in the midst of a SLAM pool is now green (not black) which I am taking as slow progress! All other chemistry seems to be ok. PH at 7.2, TA at 40, salt at 2720. FC has stayed right around 10. Water is still swampy and can’t see the bottom yet...

    Late opening

We are just opening the pool now as we needed a new pump. Just had a Hayward maxflo vs 500 installed. When the pump was installed the pool was a swamp - very dark green / black in deep end. Pool company dropped 6 pucks in our skimmer (not sure what they are). FC is down to 10 from 25 a couple...

    Pump help

Really late opening this year- pulled the cover off to a black swamp and low and behold our pump is dead. Will be a week at least before if can be replaced. Should I shock the swamp without the pump or wait patiently looking at the swamp?

    Blowing out the main drain

Hi, First time we have closed our pool ourselves and all was going well. We blew out the skimmers, returns and the main drain. Opened the inlet and outlet to the heater and blew then sucked to ensure we got everything. Somehow we opened the main drain and sucked some water out into the shop...

    Opening up with stains

Am doing AA treatment and the pool looks gorgeous! Added around 3.5lbs AA and magic! Then added 2 qts jacks purple and poly fill to the skimmers. Circulated for 24 hours and still gorgeous. Tested and found: FC =0 CC= .5 PH= 7 TA=70 CYA=20 CH=175 started adding chlorinating liquid 10% just...

    Opening up with stains

Thanks! I have a feeling by the time I can get the town water changed I will no longer be a pool owner :) Not trying to skimp, just want to make sure i'm spending the $ on the best product for the job.

    Opening up with stains

Thank you so much - added the AA this morning and like magic the stains are leaving, also filled my skimmers with poly fill (I read somewhere that will help filter and I had it at home- not sure if it will do anything). I did just receive 2 quarts of Jacks Magic Purple stuff and per the...

Other than shower curtain liners and hardware turning a bit rusty No other issues. Not really interested in the water softener investment

    Opening up with stains

Wow! Thank you so much for looking into it! I do think it may be an accumulation over time. Our house is about 30 years old the pool is 12 years. When we put the pool in we trucked in water to fill it and have used town water to top off over the years. Started getting staining about 4 years...
