The pump definitely doesn’t leak anything out of the backwash port. Yes, the stairs have been moved and get brushed every tine I brush the pool

I appreciate all the advice, I truly do. Just been frustrated behind this pool and I’ve been reading and taking ppls advice, and it’s just fighting me back. I’m not losing over 1ppm overnight, so I’m assuming that means there is no algae present. Or at least I thought that’s what the OCLT was...

    Cloudy pool

This is the 3rd summer we’ve had the pool, but I’ve definitely never dealt with it staying cloudy this long. Usually it clears up within a few days or so. I just had to replace probably 2000 gallons or so when a hose on the sand pump cracked last week. I see you aren’t very far from me either 😁...

I’ts just going to stay cloudy at this point. Wife and kid can get this summers use out of it, and then I’ll decide it’s fate afterwards. And that’s all I use is a drop based test kit. Have from day 1.

I’m confused as to what you’re talking about for the most part. I don’t use a fountain, haven’t in probably over a year anyway. My FC is not 0. Far as the sand filter goes, I’ve been doing those procedures for nearly a year. The pool gets brushed twice a day and my FC is being kept at 16. Please...

Took a water sample to Leslie’s and this is what they show. I dunno. I’m sick of dealing with this pool. In the 3 years of owning it, I have never had this hard of a time getting the water to be clear. It’s like a cloud fell out the sky and landed in my pool lol

40-50 is not high. 50 is what’s recommended.

That’s why I’ve been keeping it at a slam level. But at nearly $6 a gallon, it gets expensive. My wife says this will be the last summer we’ll have the pool because I’m always saying it’s been nothing but a money pit 😂

What I meant was dead algae making the pool cloudy. Nothing green in the water whatsoever and my OCLT numbers don’t reflect algae still being present.

    Cloudy pool

OK. I give up. I don’t know what else to try. Had to kill off algae in pool a couple weeks back. Water went back to normal, just had what I consider all the dead algae floating around. Upon others advice, I kept the pool at a slam level of 16. Nothing was changing. Took the sand pump system off...
