I was actually surprised when I tried to buy the liquid conditioner to raise my CYA to 50 they tried to convince me that I don't need it. I told them I appreciate it, but my goal is to get it to 50. They said, but at 33 CYA you are within a normal range. Their idea of normal range is 30-100.

I chlorinate with 10% liquid chlorine and use the Taylor 2600 kit.

I have the Taylor 2600 and have been using it for almost a year.

I tested it from the same area I always do, but I haven’t tested the pH from tap.

I did that cause a friend of mine said that was his preference for cleaning his de filters rather than backwashing. He said he will just hose them off then wait for the de to dry out then scoop it up and toss it.
