The pool was just opened yesterday. Water temp was 45°.

The pool heater was on and the water was 45°, so there was no need for the slide to turn on. The freeze protection turned on because of the ambient air conditions not because of the water temp.

What would you guys do? My pool is 2 1/2 years old. Our pool builder said not to do anything special when the temps dropped into the 30s because the pool pump runs at night.
