I have searched and it appears that the flow sensor can cause this to happen. I have noticed that if I decrease to 1300 I now get low flow red light which is new. If I keep flow higher and flow light is green will the cell continue to put out chlorine?

How cold is your water? I have read posts stating that cli bing ability varies with water temp.

M500 holds a fair amount but it is not as large as the other models. I only find it a problem when the pool is filled with leaves, otherwise capacity does the job. It is a bit toucher to empty/clean since there are 2 filter compartments.

I've had M500 and Polaris. M500 climbs much better and does not get stuck on steps like the Polaris. Polaris holds much more than the M500 and does better when getting up leaves due to the large basket.
