    pool opening pump priming

thanks. it comes out for bit, then stops. i dont' want to turn it too tight, since that seems to contradict the point of the release.

    pool opening pump priming

IceShadow. Thank you. Pump is primed. I was not being patient enough. Also now i know that 'parallel' is open, and perpendicular is closed. i did not yet lubricate the o ring but that comes in the mail next week. There is now water coming out of the top of the (hayward) filter where...

    pool opening pump priming

its my first time managing my pool opening. How long might it take for my (hayward) pump to prime? I have removed plugs from skimmer and return. plug has been removed from inside of pump basket. drain plugs have been replaced in pump basket. I have filled the pump basket with water...

Pool opening, hayward pump/filter. Can anyone tell me where these screws go?

    Hydrostatic Conundrum

Jimmy, Thank you. Well I was the one that was responsible for plugging the main drain, on the theory that i was leaking. But in the end, i don't think it was leaking. It was plugged with a rubber plug, similar to what is used to plug our returns. We have now done the tile and coping, and...

    Hydrostatic Conundrum

Thank you. Yes, whatever they are are in the shallow end, and about the middle of the pool. I suspect they are the plugs. One pool guy that saw the value/plug/whatever it is said to just leave it. We are carrying on and doing the work without releasing it. Not ideal but that is the...
