With all the rain this Spring, a few times I had to pump out water. Water was actually overflowing through my skimmer and landing right next to pool base. Not looking to eat out area around base of pool. Overflow fitting which would lead water away from pool, and not having to pump out pool...

Actually thought of drilling a hole in the skimmer. There is actually a flat spot where I could get a 1" hole. That would probably be the best plan.

Would love to put on an overflow outlet. What's involved? How scary is it to cut hole through side of pool and liner?? What tools?? Is this something to sub out? deweypip

awtrizzle, Also look at restaurant supply stores. Sometimes there are incredibly good deals on cases of bleach. Albeit lower % chlorine, but very cost effective. deweypip

Definitely double clamp. I came home to find one of my hoses came off---not fun to put 4-5 inches of water back into your pool from a 525' deep well. Learn from me. Double clamp, check periodically, or hardpipe. Good luck

I like our sharkline. I didn't install it, and we got the best price on line. It was shipped right to the door, and installers didn't complain, so must have been an ok build for them. Couple years later, still looks great.
