First full test, looking for feedback

Thanks. So once the water gets colder and the SWG stops generating FC, will I need to add chlorine another way or do you generally not need it for water that cold?

First full test, looking for feedback

Just finished our first pool. Fill date was Nov 17. Up to now the PB has been handling the water testing and maint. but now I'm on my own so I just completed my first full test using my new TF100 kit. Hopefully I did everything correctly. Here are my readings... PH 8 FC 4 CC 0 TC 4 CH 400 TA 100...

Florida pool child safety law compliance

Not sure if you ordered the same alarms that I linked in my post. If so, I just met with my PB yesterday and he took a look at the ones I bought and said they typically won't pass inspection if they have an on/off switch, which those do. So I now have to get a set that will meet that...

    New Build in NE Florida

Thanks Brentr, I'll check with the PB on the valves. - - - Updated - - - They got started on the screen enclosure Saturday morning, then worked on it all day yesterday but no one showed up this morning. We had a little rain so maybe they took the day off  Anyway, they should have one more...

Florida pool child safety law compliance

I've copied the relevant section from the FL swimming pool safety law below... If you don't have any young children or other non-swimmers in your house then (c) is probably the simplest option IMO. They're pretty cheap and easy to install. Here's link to the ones we bought. FRYS.comDoberman...

    New Build in NE Florida

Pavers are in, Equipment is installed and Electric is pretty much finished with the exception of an outlet that goes on the inside of the enclosure after it's finished. The guys showed up this morning to start building the screen enclosure. Mostly precutting the various pieces of the frame...

    New Build in NE Florida

We're moving along again after about a week of fairly slow progress following the shotcrete installation. They completed most of the plumbing work but when I got home from work Friday night I noticed they forgot to include the line for the wok bowl water feature. I called the PB Saturday morning...

Signed the contract and looking at products:)

Been Out of town for a few days so just catching up again. Sorry to hear about all the problems with your PB. Sounds like you've got it on the right track again but I wanted to chime in on the finish question. When we first started looking I was completely sold on the Wet Edge finish but as I...

With all of the dirt and a big section of the fence that had to be removed for access, our Lab has temporarily lost his backyard privliges until his new pool is ready.... and I'm getting a lot more exercise with him and the lease! Get some cheap rugs or carpet remnants to keep next to any doors...

I didn't get all the permitting paperwork until they started the dig. At that point they left it on my back porch in a big ziplock bag so the inspectors have access to it each time they have to inspect. I made copies of everything the first day they brought it. Hope you get it all straightened...

Thanks gwegan, that's very helpful. I had no idea there could be a code issue. I'll definitely check it out with the electrician.
