    Cannot Get Out Dirt

Thank you all for the advice I really appreciate it! I know this sounds goofy but what is a silt bag? I have only owned my pool for about 3 years so I am a novice still! I would love to find the guilty parties but I sure hope they had fun doing it because the cleanup has not been fun :(

    Cannot Get Out Dirt

Hey Guys and Gals, Came home from the Easter holiday to find that someone had thrown mud balls into my swimming pool from over our fence. My beautiful pool was full of dirt. I have tried and tried to get all the fine red dirt out of my pool with no luck. My question is how do I do it? I sweep...

Ted thank you! I am sorry for all of the questions do you have a suggestion on what a major rehab would be on this type of swimming pool?

    The Dreaded Swimming Pool Paint

Thank you Ted.. I actually thought about a liner at one point.. Before you guys went with a liner what did you use for the seams in your walls? The local pool store here had NO CLUE! We found one caulking that another person on here used for his. I ordered it and when it came in it has actually...

    The Dreaded Swimming Pool Paint

Scott, You are a wealth of information!! I appreciate it very much. I posted on here last year with basically the same questions but I CANNOT FIND ANYONE in my area that know anything about my hybrid baby. The previous owners did not do a very good job of taking care of her and I just don't...

    The Dreaded Swimming Pool Paint

Just the bottom of the pool is concrete... sides fiberglass. I am pretty new to pool ownership but on the plaster issue it does not appear to have ever been plaster (is that possible?) Just plain ole concrete. So should it be plaster?? I keep hearing plaster. But I am not familiar enough with it...

    The Dreaded Swimming Pool Paint

Hey Guys and Gals, I hate to say it but I will be painting my pool this year. It has an actual concrete bottom and I know that paint is not the answer but it is in the budget and something has to be done. That being said is there an actual paint that anyone would recommend. I am only expecting...

Swamp Thing Living in Pool Light

Hey Guys!! 2nd year owning a pool and I decided that I would see if the swimming pool light works (1980's Star-Lite model) I tried turning on the light at the end of last season and the ground kicked it off before I could even tell if it came on. There is moisture behind the lens. So we...

Anyone Ever Heard of "Hybrid" Pools?

Great info guys again I appreciate it! Rod I think that you are right on about how my pool is made! Would it be possible to just try and salvage the coping and just fill in the cracking with a concrete filler?? Yeah we do not have any expansion joints in our decking.

Anyone Ever Heard of "Hybrid" Pools?

Yes just the deck that is cracked. I know that there are a few cracks in the bottom concrete of the pool (only in the shallow end) I was told by the previous owners who had the pool built in the early 1980's and they drained the pool every year. Dawn

Anyone Ever Heard of "Hybrid" Pools?

Yeah it is on a hill. But it does not really look like the deck has pitched anywhere, but I am not positive on that, just has some cracking of the concrete. Is the white stuff around the edges coping? Do you know if you can replace that where it is separating from the concrete and who I could...
