Filter pressure after transition to cellulose fiber

You are referring to Quad DE filters: I am not sure if you can convert an FNS plus to a Quad DE unless you are prepared to change all the internal components and plumbing, if that is a possibility at all.

Why does a Jandy diffuser come with 2 o-rings!?

This is very intriguing. That diffuser totally looks to be way too long for that pump. I’m very curious what people who own one of these pumps have to say about this.

    Sand!

This is the exact reason why one of my spa jets was so weak. I removed the orifice using a socket and found broken pieces of plastic behind (likely from the disintegrating strainer basket of the old pump).

    Temperature issue for Spa

I heard that you can recalibrate the sensor inside the panel? Maybe it’s calibrated to -15 degrees so it always shows 15 degrees less than what it reads from the sensor? Check the settings.

    Draining a pool

I do have an overflow drain but it is at the very top of the waterline tile, about 2” higher than the top of my skimmer mouth, so I just throw in a submersible pump when we have the occasional storm, such as the one we’re about to have for the next three days, dropping 5” of rain. I have the...

    Plumbing Schematic Review - Help?

You have already received great replies to this inquiry but I would also like to add that those issues your neighbors experienced were not due to salt being in their pool. One of them had at least a major bonding issue I would guess. All pools have salt. If you measure your non-salt water pool...

    Plumbing Schematic Review - Help?

I went through this exact issue when I bought my house in June 2022 and the pool was using a floater with 3” trichlor tabs and I had zero knowledge of anything pool related so I continued to do the same thing and even got an automatic tab feeder when I replumbed the entire pad. :hammer: I had a...

    Plumbing Schematic Review - Help?

All of that is total and complete malarkey. Also, no logical person who, for some reason, does not recommend a SWG, would recommend tablets in its stead. They should recommend liquid chlorine instead. Those are your only two choices of proper year-round chlorination in my opinion and the...

Running pump and filter at night

Mechanically, and in terms of water circulation, it does not matter at all when you run the pump. Ideally, if you had a VSP, you’d run it at about 1200rpm (~100W) 24 hours a day.

Pump motor shaft sheared off. Anyone seen this before?

Are you referring to this outer portion by the “lighter shade”? Because I thought that that was a groove in the cylinder. The shaft was thinner in that small section. Can anyone confirm if the motor shaft has that groove? I thought the darker portion in the center, with the slightly raised...
