    I am using pool calculator. My water temp fluctuates between 80 and 89 degrees. I am concerned about achieving the right alkalinity without raising the PH.

    I have been using the pool calculator for several years and I like it...My latest pool number as of today are...salt level 3400...free chlorine 11.... PH 8....alkalinity 90...cyanuric acid 60...calcium hardness 475......The pool calculator says that scaling is likely the CSI is 0.44 scaling...

    Hello Pat... I know my numbers are good overall. The pool water is perfectly clear... Are you suggesting that I lower the alkalinity to 60 or 70 and that this will lower the PH?

    My test numbers today are: salt content 3400...free chlorine 11...PH level 8...Alkalinity 80...CYA...80...Calcium hardness 325...Pool Math recommends 18oz. of the muriatic acid. I am trying to keep the PH at 7.4 but this goal is hard to achieve. I am adding Muir acid every 3 days...Any suggestions

    Salt level is 3900...Free chlorine is 14....PH is 8....Alkalinity is 70 calcium hardness is 375..... The interesting thing is the Free chlorine at 14. The Pentair IC 40 is only set at 20%....

    It is interesting that you say that. I do not know where the PH stays because as soon as I see it go to 7.8 I adjust it back to 7.4 or 7.6...I appreciate you help, Thank you
