    Have PB close pool?

That price seems like quite a good deal for all they do. I pay $300 for everything you listed.

    Swimming Pool to Skating Rink

We live in Wisconsin and when I was a kid, my Dad let us use the pool for ice skating one winter. We had an inground, vinyl-liner pool that he had built himself from a kit. We didn't do anything special to protect the liner, just piled snow around the outside edge to keep us from hitting the...

Any ideas to hide solar cover and reel when not in use?

What a great idea!!! I also am thinking about getting a cover, but the only ones I can find online are called "winter covers" and come in a dark green color. Does anyone think there would there be any problems using this year round?

Any ideas to hide solar cover and reel when not in use?

After going two years without one, I finally invested in a solar cover and reel. One thing I didn't realize is how big the thing is and how conspicuous it becomes in the landscape. I've spent a lot of time making the pool area look nice, but now the reel just sticks out like a sore thumb. My...

Chlorine pucks / tabs without stabilizer / CYA

I just purchased some of the cal-hypo pucks at our local wal-mart. They sell the hth brand ones. It says right on the bucket "will not cause over stabilization". They do dissolve pretty fast though, faster than trichlor. They disolve in about 2-3 days.

    First swim 4/5

I took a peak under our cover yesterday. Only a bit of ice left, but the water looked blue! The temperature only has to rise another 40 degrees and we'll be swimming!

    outdoor cover

I would like to hear some ideas for shade/shelter by the pool too. I bought one of the gazebos from Target last year. I thought I had it tied well to the fence next to the pool. Unfortunately the first big storm blew the whole thing over and into the pool. Luckily I didn't get a hole in the...

    "Mine's bigger than Yours" award

I'm new here.. but just had to comment that the size of that is awesome! I can't wait for it to warm up.. we have had such a long, snow, cold winter here in wisconsin. I would say I was sick of looking at my cover too, but I haven't seen even the cover of my pool in 3 months.. it's buried...
