    Oh I get it now! That sounds like a fantastic idea. My CYA is high and I feel like we just have so much debris involved this may be my project tomorrow.

    I know the consensus is that copper is bad but I was also curious about this as everything is going to be re-done in a few weeks anyways. I was concerned about it ruining the concrete/gunite though as my plaster is delaminating and was also concerned about the metal light as it apparently...

    Chemistry Readings: Free Chlorine = 28 Combined Chlorine = 3 PH (not reliable) = 7.5 Alkalinity = 160 Calcium = 200 CYA = 70

    Contractor starts in a week (will likely be pushing that back as we need clean water by June 1st. Insurance company states “adequately maintained” which means clean water. Likely due to drowning risk with inability to see bottom.

    We are concerned about draining as we are in a flood zone and right across from a tidal creek and we are unsure about opening the hydro pressure valves ourselves and because we have no idea where our main drain even is because we can’t see it

    I bought one of the Taylor test kits. When they 1st came they put in 6lbs of chlorine however I haven’t heard anything else.. have found multiple chlorine tablets (6) put in the skimmer basket though (about the size of a hockey puck)

    Also there is now a clog in the skimmer line so pulling everything through main drain & hot tub drain.
