    Trouble finding Liquid Chlorine

I bought 9 gallons at Home Depot yesterday ( 18188 ). They had 10 more boxes. Virginia Beach, VA.

    Wanda the Whale

These cleaners need good suction. I'd say at least 1 HP pump and yes, a clean filter.

    Pool bricks -get hot.

I use walk pads meant for a Duro-Last roof system. I wish they could be purchased easily because they are fairly inexpensive and work great. All PVC with a nice slip proof surface. Pure white so they stay cool even at 100 degrees.

AGP pump timer with remote control

I've been using a Woods timer with my 1 HP Hayward pump. It's been serving me well for 4 years now. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006LYHG42/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It has 24 on/off possible settings which is useful for me in the Winter so I can run my pump for just 5...

Silver dollar size rust hole with liner showing through but not protruding

I patched about a dozen pin holes in my liner last Spring just to get by with a failing liner. I did a total renovation this Spring. My tip for patches is to use a rag to smooth out the patch and force air to the edges. After getting the patch smooth, hold the rag so that it covers the entire...

    AGP Lights

A foot of snow is about the best I can do in SE VA. Normally I get a few days each Winter that don't get above 30 and nights in the teens so my pool will have 1/4" to 1/2" of ice. If it snows on top of that ice it looks pretty cool...actually dangerous if you didn't know a pool was there.

    Dog in Pool

Dog safety. Yes. These are our babies. Not a must have but I wanted the security for my dog so I bought the vest for her. Just FYI I bought the one pictured on Amazon for under $17, now the price is higher. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0081XIK4Q/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

^Great pic! Is that a dog ramp I see? I considered designing and building one but my dog has learned to use the ladder.

    liner rip on new pool

If you have no dogs or children that may have gotten crazy in the pool then I'm going with a wild critter based on the hole and tear pattern. I'm sure you would have noticed that damage the first time you were in the pool but installers may have torn it??. It can be patched.

Silver dollar size rust hole with liner showing through but not protruding

If you have some sheet metal scraps(thin aluminum/trim coil) you could patch the outside if you have easy access. A one part urethane caulking like NP-1 (Sonneborn) cures very strong like hard rubber. Epoxy would be good too. If you can't patch the outside, a double patch on the inside is what I...

Does this steel frame above ground pool look ok?

An inch is really nothing to worry about. As long as it was properly assembled I say enjoy it and have a happy 4th. :swim:

I'm Addicted When It Comes To FC Testing

If you have a high bather load/party, you would want to test prior to and after. Even during if there are any doubts. It's almost midnight but I had 7 teenagers and a dog swimming tonight so I'll be testing FC shortly even though I added 4 PPM at 5 PM to achieve target level. My water temp is 90...
